My WIP (Work In Progress). The "Blue Buddha"In many ancient paintings and illustrations Buddha is depicted with blue as his skin color. The symbolism is vast but fundamentally symbolizes medicine, healing and a detachment of materials objects and things and includes such things as transforming anger into mirror like wisdom.
Next is the Gold Leaf application which is completely meticulous work, attaching gold pieces large or small one-by-one and all by hand. Wow!!!
Its almost difficult to apply the gold leaf to this painting as I love how this monochromatic piece looks already. You'll have to come to my Meet & Greet the 10th to see how it came out, or visit my webpage when it is finished. :)
