A little reminder to those whom are not in the Surreality Art knowing... I had just recently shown my artwork at “The Art Studios” all marked with low low pricing. It is a gift from me to the buyers when I am Not showing at traditional art galleries, as I have to up the prices of my paintings due to showing fees and commission rates. Second Saturday 10-10-15

A portion of my art space.... all hung up and ready to meet and greet people.

My artwork and i. ;)
Some of the artworks available at the showing. This is a picture of only one wall. I had lots of space to hang all my art.

Photo of my meet and greet with people. Gotta love photos that are taken right in the middle of talking to people. :)
A shot of the studio with my larger paintings. A Big Thank You to those who bought my artwork!

There were a small trickle of people in and out... which is nice in order to meet and greet almost everyone... well those people whom aren't too shy to ask about the dynamics behind the artwork. ;)

The portion of the wall containing my featured blue buddha with gold leaf. What a fun piece to create!!!

Thanks again to all those who fell in love with my artwork as much as I have creating them! I hope the pieces you have bought and see everyday make your heart smile for an eternally!

The "Blue Buddha"

My WIP (Work In Progress). The "Blue Buddha"
In many ancient paintings and illustrations Buddha is depicted with blue as his skin color. The symbolism is vast but fundamentally symbolizes medicine, healing and a detachment of materials objects and things and includes such things as transforming anger into mirror like wisdom.

Next is the Gold Leaf application which is completely meticulous work, attaching gold pieces large or small one-by-one and all by hand. Wow!!!

Its almost difficult to apply the gold leaf to this painting as I love how this monochromatic piece looks already. You'll have to come to my Meet & Greet the 10th to see how it came out, or visit my webpage when it is finished. :)

The Third Eye 2015

The Third Eye also known as the inner-eye is a mystical and spiritual invisible eye typically designated on the forehead of a person or deity. Wisdom through meditation is the gate that leads to an inner higher consciousness on a path towards enlightenment. From this inner realm, deep personal significance comes to a person through various means, such as visions, out-of-body-experiences, clairvoyance, precognition, clairaudience and many more spiritual abilities, depending upon a persons innate abilities having been brought forth through their higher consciousness.

This very spiritually symbolic painting of two faces and three eyes is my artistic representation of our subconscious and higher conscious minds both acting and working together to bring our latent inherent abilities to the forefront of our waking consciousness with wisdom we can utilize in our life and living. My Studio & Some Works in Progress

A couple works in progress that you will see at my up coming artwalk Oct 10th. The first image is a buddha face. I have visited, revisited, reinvented and reinvented time and time again. These buddha series are endless. I keep up dating them and/or creating custom pieces, and everyone loves them. This buddha is going to be a mixed media creation with gold leaf. It'll be interesting to see how it comes out; better yet stop by the studio to see how it came out in person. The second photo is a painting of the chakras. See my website at www.SurrealityArt.com for more details. The third photo, since I showed you half of my art studio, is a photo of my more computer techie half. Between my art-desk and computer desk being in the same room, I basically live in this room all day all night. And last but not least the last photo is a photo of my crazy new art assistant, Izzy. Love Love

Second Saturday Artist Meet & Greet October 10th 2015

Don't miss Surreality Arts next Second Saturday Artist Meet & Greet happening October 10th 2015 at The Art Studios 4pm to 10pm

You wont want to miss it!  There will be appetizers available and I will personally be handing out free flowers and chocolates!

There are grouping of 3 angels that appear in a multitude of historic religious texts; most often, these three angels come to earth to give a message of love and light along with the forewarning of how to avoid the pitfalls that a person can fall prey to in order to ensure that love and light will prevail for themselves and for all of mankind.

In more modern times, there are people of earth whom are pure of heart and are given such similar messages to inspire others on how to stay pure in heart and of mind. In what many call the “New Age,” we have very influential people whom today were give the same message such as Mahatma Gandhi who says onto others, “be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Artists have more fun!

New sights, stories and sounds are always golden to an artists heart & soul whom sees the world through imagery and personal experiences. My recent trip to Alaska was simply amazing to say the least!!!
How dualistic is this photo, to be in a hot-tub, on a cruise ship that is riding in frigid waters while watching the frozen glaciers go bye. I actually got a suntan in Alaska. LOL Thanks to Ani & Tracey for the beautiful memories that will last forever in my heart and soul, and to all the amazing locals, which was my honor to have crossed paths with. Love ya all<3

Surreality Art is Green Art!

A collection of art deeply rooted in sustainability and living an Eco-Friendly Good Green Life!
The Green Art Seal you see on every painting is Surreality Arts way of letting its customer and clients know that I have taken significant steps toward creating artwork that is non-toxic, safe and has very low impact on the environment, as a benefit to our planet as a whole ecosystem, in and of itself.
As you may already know, it is the power of science based programs that aim to empower consumers, purchasers and businesses to create a more sustainable green world. From scientific findings new laws, rules, regulations, etc are made which will eventually make it mandatory for people, households and businesses to comply. Why wait?
Surreality Art is doing its part now and you can too!

Holi Festival of Colors 2015

The Holi Festival is an ancient Hindu religious festival also known as the festival of colors. The festival begins along side a bonfire on the night before Holi where people gather to sing and dance in the public streets, open parks, outside temples and buildings etc. In the morning friends, family and visitors all gather for the festival of colours where people chase each other with packets of colored chalk (non-toxic and Eco-friendly) are thrown at each other in a free-for-all with love, light and an explosion of color. It is really a sight to see and even more amusing to be a part of!

This series of paintings are multicolored abstract color-field acrylic paintings featuring a variety of iconic spiritual, cultural and religious images including symbols, gods, goddesses and/or devotional representations in relation to the Hindu religious festival and their beliefs. The layers of background colors within each painting depict the traditional chalk colors used in the festival while featuring a henna style technique used in the creation of the paintings. These paintings are currently showing at the Kennedy Gallery, Sacramento CA and available for purchase through to the end of the month featuring a special offer thru the Kennedy Gallery 20/20 Show for those who buy a grouping of 4 or more paintings of your choice.

Upcoming 20/20 Show in Sacramento

Life has been crazy busy for me which means there are a lot of things in the making, thus a lot of new things to come in the near future. Gotta love that!!! Now that I am officially settled-into the state of Cali, got my art room/studio setup and got approved for my Surreality Art General Business License I decided to take a bit of time out and do what makes me the happiest, creating art!!! In fact my next series of 25 paintings has been selected to participate in the Kennedy Gallery 20/20 show for the second year in a row!
This Surreality Art & Soul Series was inspired by and dedicated to The Holi Festival (Friday, March 6th, 2015) also known as The Festival of Colours. I will post more information about this event in the near future, so be sure to check back soon!
PS. Did you hear about the beautiful astronomical triple play (solar eclipse, supermoon & equinox) that happened this past Friday?
